Payroll Generalist
YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As a Payroll Generalist, you will be a member of our Payroll team within the Finance department. You will coordinate the group’s payroll processes across several European countries, ensuring adherence to policies and maintaining strict compliance at all times. This role requires close collaboration with the rest of the Payroll team and the People & Culture department, as well as effective management, support, and communication with a wide range of internal stakeholders. This will include:
Independently managing and controlling the monthly payroll process and ensuring that the payroll is accurate, compliant and in accordance with set timelines
Independently produce relevant reports for internal and external stakeholders
Obtaining approval from different business units on tight deadlines and support employees and managers on queries related to payroll
Processing payments of salaries and associated transactions
Approve and answer for invoices from external suppliers and to keep cost within budget
Lead implementation of efficient and compliant processes and effective controls
Initiate and lead projects with internal and external stakeholders
Work in coordination with the Finance and People & Culture departments, and local teams in order to make sure the organization's employee and financial records are accurate and in accordance with the relevant standards
Manage and answer for the payroll documentation, ticketing system and internal communication strategy
What You Need to Embark
We are looking for a structured and proactive problem solver and independent payroll professional, with strong communication skills. In addition to being fluent in English we believe the right person has:
Bachelor's degrees (or Higher Vocational Education) within business administration, finance, human resources or similar
Excellent skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Experience working independently with European payroll, either in-house or outsourced
Experience working with French or Polish payroll is a merit
Fluency in French, German, or Polish is a merit
Experience working within accounting or human resources is a merit
