Public Policy Manager - Sweden & Finland
Your mission at Voi
As Public Policy Manager for Sweden and Finland, you will shape the regulatory and political landscape for micromobility in two of Voi’s core markets. Working closely with the Head of Public Policy - SE & FI, the Public Policy team and local operations to build and nurture city relationships, and influence critical regulatory- and political processes in line with our policy strategy in the Nordic region. You will help ensure that Voi is the preferred partner for cities for micromobility services, and contribute to sustainable and commercially viable regulatory frameworks. This will include:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, city officials, transport operators, and authorities, in Sweden and Finland.
Monitor and analyse political and regulatory developments to recommend priorities and actions.
Influence legislation and local regulations in line with Voi’s strategic objectives and cities’ sustainability goals.
Drive outreach to new cities, assess our position and represent Voi in influencing the public stakeholders to advance their position on initiating pilot and tender process for micromobility services.
Support cross-functional teams, including operations, communications, and commercial teams, to ensure compliance and best practices.
Organise and participate in industry initiatives, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings to promote safe and sustainable micromobility.
Use data insights and research evidence to demonstrate the social, environmental, and economic benefits of micromobility to decision-makers.
Support Voi’s PR and Communications efforts in the region as necessary in regard to local policy developments
Monitor and manage public opinion, promoting and defending our vision, position and actions in the public discussion (e.g. in newspapers and on social media platforms).
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships, including public authorities, public transport operators, industry associations, academia and civil society to strengthen Voi’s role in the broader urban mobility ecosystem and support long-term, sustainable transport solutions.
What you need to embark
We are looking for a communicative, analytical, and commercially aware policy professional with a strong network and understanding of local politics in Sweden and Finland. The right candidate will have:
4+ years of experience in politics, consultancy, public administration, or interest organisations in Sweden and/or Finland.
A Bachelor degree in political science, law, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken; Finnish is a strong plus.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Excellent writing skills and the ability to summarise complex political issues in simple explanations and compelling messages.
Proven project management and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering outcomes in multi-stakeholder environments.
A structured and analytical approach to identifying trends, upcoming regulations and their impact on the business.
Strong strategic thinking and experience managing cross-functional projects.
Commercial understanding and the ability to translate business priorities into political and regulatory objectives.
Experience in the mobility sector is a plus, but not required.
