#EmployeeVoices - User Experience (UI/UX) designer
Meet Ji-Hyun Lee - our User Experience (UI/UX) designer responsible for the mobile experience. 📱 Ji spontaneously decided to move to Sweden from South Korea and has been with us for almost two years now. Let’s get to know her a bit better!
So, what’s it like to work at Voi?
"Like an open and secure playground! 🏰 In the UX process, it’s a lot about trial and error, the curiosity that exists here means that you can explore different ways to solve a problem, and that can end up improving the entire user experience."
What’s important when it comes to UI/UX?
"The balance between making something user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. 🎨 It’s not just visual - a lot of analysis goes into building the app, making sure that the different features work together and make sense to the user."
What’s your fondest memory from Voi?
"It was actually my first day when I came to the office. I was greeted by two Product Managers who took me out to interview Voi users. We grabbed random users on the street and asked them if they had any insecurities while riding, pain points, and so on. It was clear from day one that Voi really values the user experience, there’s such passion and motivation behind the product. I’m really looking forward to getting back out on the streets and talking to our users again, once the pandemic is over."
Tell us something about you that not many people know!
"I used to dream of becoming a filmmaker when I was in college. 🎬 I’ve always been fascinated by stories and mise-en-scènes that influence deep into people's emotions. I was also once nominated at a small local film festival for a goofy short film that I made (I ended up never showing it to anyone though, haha)."
