#EmployeeVoices - Senior Product Designer
Let’s kick off this Thursday by getting to know our Senior Product Designer, Sofia Boberg! Discover what her role entails, the exciting challenges she faces in product design, and even her impressive rowing skills. Let's tune in!
🎤 What do you do as a product designer?
As a product designer, I focus on creating seamless, intuitive experiences for our users. I design visuals for the Voi app and work to enhance both the app’s functionality and the overall experience of riding our e-scooters and e-bikes.
🎤 What is the most challenging part of your role?
Micromobility is a rapidly evolving field with endless possibilities. The biggest challenge is finding enough time to explore all the exciting opportunities and ideas I’d love to dive deeper into.
🎤 What are the most rewarding aspects of your work?
I’m passionate about the intersection of digital design and the physical world. Seeing people use our products daily is incredibly rewarding, knowing that our work genuinely improves their lives.
🎤 We’ve heard you’re a pro at rowing – how did that come about?
My first job required me to row to the mainland every morning, as I lived on an island. By 5:45 AM, I was out on the water, getting my day started with a solid workout!
🎤 Any advice for aspiring designers?
Go for it! Being a product designer combines creativity with problem-solving. It’s all about understanding how people, business goals, and technology intersect. If that excites you, this career could be the perfect fit!
