#EmployeeVoices - Talent Acquisition Manager
"I won’t lie and pretend I run or do yoga at 6 a.m. My day always starts with a latte and a croissant or Pain au Chocolat!" says Patricia Yanez, our Talent Acquisition Manager. Let's tune in to Patricia and this week's #EmployeeStories!
So Patricia, tell us about what you do!
I manage the amazingly gifted Talent Acquisition team responsible for the recruitment in our markets which include DACH, UKI, FRITESBE & Nordics.
I advise our hiring managers in regards to recruitment needs, meaning I'm involved in expansion projects, being responsible for building the teams from scratch which gives me the privilege to see them develop their roles and careers at Voi. Everyday is a new challenge and we have to constantly think outside the box to find the talent Voi needs.
What's a unique skill that you bring to your job?
I don’t think it’s unique but I feel that being resilient has helped me a lot to navigate all the adventures you have when working in Talent Acquisition. I also love talking to people and luckily I speak several languages (Spanish, French and English as well as some Italian and German) which has also helped me when entering new markets.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
Hmm I'd say working to complete the Spanish team. It was my first market to work on when I joined Voi and I had the privilege of recruiting the team and going through all the challenges to see the final results was extremely rewarding. I finally also got the chance to meet them face to face recently and it was amazing!
How do you prefer to start your day?
I won’t lie and pretend I run or do yoga at 6 a.m. but I do like to start early to have some quiet time checking e-mails and ensure I have everything ready for my meetings. Whether I’m working from home or at the office my day always starts with a latte and a croissant or Pain au Chocolat!
What’s your favorite season, and why?
That's tricky… I love all seasons! I’m from Mexico so I love the summer when you go to the beach to relax and feel the sun on my skin but I also love winters when you can have a cozy night in, watching a movie with hot cocoa (or mulled wine).
