Engineering Manager – Research & DevelopmentIn the Vehicle IoT and SW team, we are responsible for our fleet’s IoT and firmware, as well as a large suite of backend services that ensure the correct configuration of our vehicles. We manage all communication between the cloud and over 100,000 vehicles, ensuring that users can seamlessly start and end rides, while riding safely through cities in compliance with local rules and policies.
The team is highly data-driven, ingesting real-time telemetry from the fleet to measure the stability and performance of every request. We collaborate closely with other teams who consume our data to develop machine learning models for predictive maintenance and other operational improvements.
As an Engineering Manager, my role is to foster a healthy, fun and productive working dynamic within the team and with our stakeholders. I work closely with our Product Manager, supporting the execution of technical priorities and ensuring alignment with business goals.
