Senior Category Manager
YOUR MISSION AT VOI
Help shape the e-bikes that keep our cities moving. As Senior Category Manager, you’ll lead procurement for e-bike components, securing the cost, quality and reliable supply that keep our fleet available and our service accessible.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you’ll work closely with R&D, Supply Chain and Fleet Operations, turning market insights into lasting supplier partnerships and better commercial outcomes.
Shape our supplier base across vehicle manufacturers, component, battery and motor suppliers, balancing cost, quality, availability and risk.
Lead sourcing for new vehicle platforms, components and spare parts, exploring new suppliers and technologies.
Negotiate agreements covering pricing, volumes, warranties, quality and delivery.
Build cost models and benchmarks to identify savings and manage exposure to commodity prices, currencies and duties.
Develop supplier partnerships and improve performance across quality, delivery, warranties and claims.
Anticipate supply risks and work with colleagues and suppliers on practical mitigation plans.
Lead sourcing from supplier selection to series production, manage parallel workstreams and share your knowledge with procurement colleagues.
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
You combine commercial understanding with an analytical, collaborative approach. You’re comfortable making decisions independently, explaining recommendations and constructively questioning assumptions. You build trust with suppliers and colleagues, and help others develop through sharing your experience.
Several years of direct procurement experience, including independently leading sourcing and commercial negotiations.
A degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience managing projects with demanding timelines and several parallel workstreams.
Clear communication and relationship-building skills, with proficiency in English.
Experience using AI tools responsibly to analyse information, draft communications or support decisions, and helping colleagues use them effectively.
Experience in e-mobility or bicycle procurement is welcome, as is technical understanding of batteries, motors and controllers, but neither is essential.
Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box.
