Your mission at Voi
For the Fleet Specialist position, you’ll have the opportunity to work across two main operational areas, with tasks allocated by the Team Lead based on business needs.
In our mechanical team, you’ll focus on the maintenance and repair of our vehicles, keeping our scooters in excellent condition and providing crucial support to colleagues in the field.
In our in‑field team, you’ll use our vans to carry out different tasks around the Glasgow area, ensuring our operations run safely, smoothly and reliably for our riders.
Depending on daily priorities and workload, your Team Lead will assign you to one area or the other, giving you variety in your day‑to‑day while making sure we cover the most important operational needs.
Here are some of the tasks awaiting you as a Fleet Specialist:
Ensuring the logistics of collecting and deploying Voi scooters ⚙️
Searching for and collecting damaged scooters 🛴
Replacing batteries so vehicles are always ready to ride 🔋
Performing quick on‑site repairs of scooters 🔧
Diagnosing and repairing broken vehicles 🔧
Recycling and dismantling vehicles that cannot be repaired ♻️
Assisting with the acceptance, packaging and preparation of new vehicles and batteries arriving at the warehouse 🔍
Supporting our on‑site team as needed – for example, identifying damaged vehicles, clearing parking spaces or setting up fallen vehicles 🤝
You’ll work closely with a supportive team that shares knowledge and helps each other outYou’ll be required to pick up batteries from our Glasgow warehouse, drive to Aberdeen to complete swaps and operational tasks, and then return to Glasgow at the end of the shift.
What you’ll need to embark
Mandatory requirement – Driving licence: You must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points and no major offences, to meet our e‑van insurance requirements. Licence checks will be conducted during the recruitment process. As part of the role, you will drive one of our company e‑vans
Good knowledge of your city and feeling comfortable driving there
A responsible team player who can manage tasks independently and also enjoys working together with others
Willingness to share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to a positive, respectful team culture
A practical, solution‑oriented mindset – you like getting things done and helping the team reach its goals
Comfortable navigating the city in a van in different weather and traffic conditions
Ability to stay calm and courteous in stressful situations (e.g. poor parking, traffic)
A physical condition that allows you to safely handle and move scooters and batteries, using the equipment and support provided
PLEASE NOTE: You may be required to go through a DBS Check for this role.

Working shifts: 5 out of 7 (Monday - Thursday week shift pattern)
Working hours: AM shift
Contract type: 3-month fixed‑term contract
