Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI-Native)
Fleet Operations · Stockholm (Hybrid)
YOUR MISSION AT VOI
You'll be joining the team that builds tools for Voi's Fleet Specialists: the people keeping scooters charged, balanced, and available across European cities. The team works on navigation, daily shift planning, and the routing intelligence that helps specialists work efficiently in the field. The stack is Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on mobile, Go on the backend, with VROOM for route optimisation.
What's different about this role is the expectation around AI tooling. You'll have access to the latest and greatest tools (currently we have Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex), and we expect you to use them seriously. We expect you to move across the full stack, pick up unfamiliar territory quickly, and ship end-to-end without waiting for someone else to unblock you. We care less about which layers of the stack you already know deeply, and more about how well you close the gaps.
Day-to-day this means:
Taking features from brief to production: writing mobile UI, backend logic, and API contracts, using AI tooling to cover the parts you know less well
Holding a high bar for code quality even when a lot of the code is AI-generated
Getting involved in system design early, not just picking up tickets once decisions are made
Working directly with product managers, designers, and Fleet Specialists to understand what actually needs building
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
First and foremost, you're a strong engineer. The AI tooling expectation in this role only makes sense on top of solid foundations - someone who can read, reason about, and take ownership of code regardless of where it came from.
5+ years building complex software end-to-end, with real ownership over the full cycle - not just implementation, but scoping, architecture, and seeing things through to production.
Concrete experience shipping products with AI coding agents. We’ll want to talk about specific projects: what you built, what the AI contributed, and what you had to do yourself.
Some experience on the frontend or mobile side. Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose) is closest to our stack, but iOS, Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, and Progressive Web Apps all count. Strong backend engineers with meaningful frontend exposure are equally welcome. The expectation is that you can work across the stack, not that you arrive already knowing all of it.
Solid engineering fundamentals. AI-generated code still needs to be readable, testable, and maintainable. You know the difference between code that works and code that holds up, and you don't lose that judgement when an AI is generating most of it.
Experience in product teams where engineers help decide what to build, not just how. You've taken vague requirements, shaped them into something concrete, and driven the work through to delivery.
WHY VOI?
Voi is Europe's #1 micromobility company, and the mission of getting cars off city streets is one we take seriously. Beyond that:
Our employee options program gives you a stake in what we're building
The team is small enough that your decisions matter, and experienced enough that you'll learn from the people around you
You'll work on a modern stack: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Go, and VROOM on the product side, with Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex as everyday tools, not afterthoughts
The tools you build affect how specialists work on the street every day
